Bold and Branded
Okay, so a complete (re)branding excercise was required for retrobadger.net and that is what I have been working on this last month (or two). I have separated this into phases, with this initial piece of work classed as ‘phase 1’ (yes I did recently buy the avengers box set).
This first phase was a reworking of the website UI and design improvements, aswell as looking into the logo and business cards which would be used in conjunction at events. My target was a free business expo which is happening in Twickenham whereupon I can attend and not feel embarassed about directing people to my online presence.
One area I wanted to be aware of was ‘honesty by design’, I am a developer, I work in formal code, but even so my general attitude is one of fun. I enjoy mini projects, trying out new tech, and just seeing whether a new idea is going to work as well as required rather than just saying no as it’s not been done before. There is an element of discussion to this with the client to keep them aware of ‘risk Vs unique’ but that is normally fun in itself.
Cultivating a better future, with the seeds of better websites
For several years I have evolved through one of the largest media charities in the UK to the role of Senior developer. I loved it there, but have to stepped out on my own as a freelance developer.
My main skills are with the Drupal CMS, developing code for it, ensuring standards through projects (whether that design, development, or planning), and leading teams to build applications they can be proud of.
Digital Consultancy, Web Development and Project Architecture are where I try to focus my skills, supporting my passion and desire to create stunning websites on time, in budget, and meeting your objectives.
To build a powerful web presence, I combine my creative, technical, and managerial experience (alongside a good splash of passion) which I have cultivated over 10 years in the industry, creating websites people want to shout about.
