Dorchester-on-thames community website

In late 2015 I moved to the village of dorchester-on-thames in Oxfordshire. As part of settling in, getting to know everyone, and generally enjoying the move, I decided to try and take on some of the work on the village website. It is a Wordpress site, and already exists, my work will mainly revolve around content management, content architecture, and marketing for the time being.

For example, at present there is only one post type, which makes differentiating between content harder. Also, the site is largely used by visitors, which is great, but getting the local community to use it more, would be great. So I will be looking into things like:

• Event calendars
• Community business/organisation directory
• Social media
• Shared permissions
